| The Midwest Thanksgiving High School Hockey Classic was founded by Coleman Clougherty, President of the St. Charles High School Hockey program. Coleman started the tournament in 1998 and it quickly earned a reputation as a first-class event. Many teams have returned for several years. Coleman is still involved behind the scenes but he has passed on the bulk of the workload to the Chiller organization. We are excited to continue to host this great event and are committed to maintaining the excellence our participants have come to expect. | |

| We will have 4 varsity divisions and 2 JV divisions with 8 teams in each division. Each division will be very competitive and (if this year holds true of last eight years) will include very competitive teams who have competed for state titles and or division titles in their respective areas. | |

| Each Varsity and the JV Tournament will break down into 2 divisions and compete in a round-robin format with division champions competing in the 4th game for tournament championship. A point system will be utilized in all divisions (1 point per period and 2 points for a win for a total of 5 points per game). All high school championship games will be played on Sunday and scheduled to try to accommodate those teams that have the furthest distance to travel. Scheduling will be complete early in October, but in general everyone will play 1 or 2 games on Friday, 1 or 2 games on Saturday and the Championship and Consolation games on Sunday. Local teams (those within 90 miles of Columbus) will need to be ready to play at 10:00 AM on Friday. Ohio teams will need to be ready to play by 11:00 AM on Friday and out of state teams by 2:00 PM on Friday. We will do our best to accommodate scheduling requests, but cannot guarantee playing times. A complete list of rules will accompany your schedule and invitation. |
