COMPETITIVE & RECREATIONAL FIGURE SKATING

Skaters that desire one on one instruction and advancement into recreational and competitive figure skating can take private lessons during the Chiller’s extensive freestyle schedule.  Private lessons and freestyle ice times are offered at the Dublin, North and Easton Chillers.  Skaters in private lessons set their personal goals with their private skating instructor and advance more rapidly with individual attention and independent practice.  Skaters may desire to perform in Chiller Ice Shows and Competitions or just cultivate their skills at their own pace.  Private instruction offers students a personal skating development plan to suit each skater’s unique needs, schedule and ability.

FREESTYLE ICE PAYMENT PROCEDURES

Thank you for choosing the Chiller Ice Rinks for your figure skating training needs.  We appreciate your business and hope you enjoy our facilities.  To ensure financial and operational fairness to all of our patrons please review and abide by these procedures. 1. Ice time may be purchased on a walk on basis.  Ice times will be closed at 28 skaters.  Ice time is sold and redeemed with pre-purchased punch cards (1 punch card = 5 hours time) on a first come, first serve basis. 2. Before entering the ice to skate, each skater must check in with the Ice Monitor at the door to the ice surface.  If a Monitor is not present at the ice surface door, each skater must check in with the front desk.  3. Each skater must present the Ice Monitor (or front desk) with a pre-paid punch card.  The Ice Monitor or front desk staff person will log the skater’s name and start time on the FreeSkate log and hold the skater’s punch card until the skater is finished skating. 4. Once a skater is finished skating they will check in again with the Ice Monitor or front desk staff person as they leave the ice.  The Ice Monitor will log the skater’s ending time, punch the utilized amount of time from their punch card and return the card to the skater. The Chiller is not responsible for left punch cards.  Punch cards may not be left behind.  Each skater must pick up their card at the end of their skating time. 5. Skaters may begin and end their skating ONLY on the hour, quarter hour or half hour.  Skaters may not begin and end their skating at any other times unless they are charged for a complete 15 minute period of time.  EXAMPLE: A skater enters the ice at 2:37 PM and exits the ice at 3:45 PM.  Skater will be charged Five, 15-minute punches/One hour and fifteen minutes.     EXAMPLE: A skater enters the ice at 4:15 PM and exits the ice at 5:21 PM.  Skater will be charged Five, 15-minute punches/One hour and fifteen minutes. 6.  Credits will not be issued for time spent in the restroom or lobby once a skater is checked in on the FreeStyle log with the Ice Monitor.  If a skater wishes to take a break, they must check out with the Ice Monitor and have their card punched for time utilized thus far and then check in again when they are ready to skate.  7.  Skaters that skate extended periods of time will encounter regularly scheduled ice surfacings.  Skaters will not be charged for any ice resurfacing time. EXAMPLE: A skater enters the ice at 2:30 PM and exits the ice at 5:30 PM.  The ice was resurfaced at 4:00 PM.  Skater will be charged Eleven, 15-minute punches/Two hours and forty-five minutes of ice time.
