HIGH SCHOOL HOCKEY

High School hockey is becoming more and more popular in central Ohio, with eleven varsity programs and several more high school club teams.

 TOURNAMENTS
Four house and travel tournaments, regional youth ice hockey tournaments and four adult tournaments are held throughout the year at the Chillers and Dispatch Ice Haus. The Chiller now hosts five high school tournaments each year for both Varsity and Club play, including the 9th Annual Midwest Thanksgiving High School Hockey Classic.

DROP-IN HOCKEY – ADULT, HIGH SCHOOL AND WOMEN-ONLY SESSIONS

The Chillers offer drop-in hockey throughout the year. Drop-in hockey is a great and inexpensive way to get some extra ice time and work on your skills in a scrimmage setting. You must be 18 years or older to participate in general sessions, “high school” only sessions are offered as well for ages 13-17.

Sessions are $12 per person or $10 for adult players with a current Chiller Adult Hockey League ID card, and goalies are free.  Sessions are limited to 30 skaters and 4 goalies, and full equipment is required.  Parents must sign in players under 18, all players must sign in at the front desk.

Registration can be taken over the phone on the same day of the session you plan to attend.  Full payment is required at the time of registration and is non-refundable if you fail to show up.   Check the homepage
for upcoming drop-in times at the rink of your choice.

STICK & PUCK – YOUTH AND ADULT

Stick and Puck sessions are practice ice time for hockey players. Separate sessions are offered for ages 6-12, 13-17 and Adults. Schedules are posted monthly on the homepage. Sessions are $12.00 per skater, limit 20 skaters including goalies.

A pre-purchase card for 10 sessions at $11 each available at each location at the front desk. You must show your card and have it punched upon arrival to pay for that day’s session. If you have a pre-paid card but want to register in advance over the phone, you will still need to pay with a credit card.  Upon arrival and presentation of your pre paid card, it will be punched and your credit card will be refunded.

A parent or guardian may practice with youth players for an additional $5, however this is not intended as practice time for those adults.

Full equipment is required for skaters and helmets are required for adults participating during the youth sessions. Parents must sign in players under 18, all players must sign in at the front desk.   Registration can be taken over the phone on the same day of the session you plan to attend.  Full payment is required at the time of registration and is non-refundable if you fail to show up.

Private lessons may be taught on Stick and Puck sessions by Chiller hockey staff.  To inquire about private lessons, please contact Rob.

 CAMPS AND CLINICS
The Chillers and Dispatch Ice Haus offer a wide variety of hockey camps and clinics throughout the year. Specialty camps and clinics are offered throughout the year focusing on specific skills including skating, stick handling, passing, shooting and positional play. Camps and clinics are taught by highly qualified instructors focusing on the skills required to play at both the recreational or competitive level. For more information on upcoming camps please contact Rob Schriner at (614) 791-9999, ext. 125.
