ABOUT JUNIOR JACKETSJunior Jackets, presented by Tim Horton’s, is a great way to get involved in hockey and learn the basic skills of skating, stick handling, shooting and team play. Classes are offered year 'round at the OhioHealth Chillers for all ages and abilities and are taught by highly professional instructors.

STEP 2 - Ages 4-Adult
JUNIOR JACKETS HOCKEY CLASSES
- Ages 4-5 Jr. Stingers
- Ages 5-10
- Ages 11-17
- Ages 18 & over
- Women’s Hockey Class
These advanced level classes are 50 minutes in length and focus on stick-handling, passing, shooting and team play. Participants must have basic skating skills and are required to wear hockey gear (see list below)
STEP 3 - Ages 6-Adult
When a player is ready to graduate from Junior Jackets to a house hockey team, there are three great organizations endorsed by the Chiller Ice Rinks. These volunteer-run hockey associations are based at the Chiller facilities, and work closely with us to provide the best experience for our players and families. HOCKEY EQUIPMENT MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Helmet with Facemask
- Mouth Guard
- Neck Guard
- Ice Hockey Stick
- Hockey Skates (free rentals provided w/ registration)
- Hockey Gloves
- Elbow and Shin/Knee Pads
- Shoulder Pads
- Hockey Pants
- Athletic Supporter
- Hockey Socks
Refunds are not granted for missing individual classes, and are only granted if special circumstances prevent the skater from participating/completing the series of classes. Requests must be in writing, carry a per lesson charge, a $15 non-refundable registration fee, and require up to 6 weeks to process.
No make-ups during regularly scheduled classes will be permitted in order to preserve the appropriate student to teacher ratio.

Camp Chiller Spring Break
Camp Chiller will introduce your child to ice skating, as well as engage them in fun activities and projects. Camp includes at least 1 hour of skating a day!
Boy Scouts of America Belt Loop Program
Skating Belt Loops during quarterly Scouts-Only events. Scouts are free and reduced rates offered for friends and family.
Lace Up, Have Fun - Ponytail Pond Hockey
The plan is simple: sign up, show up, lace up, HAVE FUN! Teams will be divided for half-ice scrimmage based on age and relative skill for safe and fun games. 8 weeks.
